About Me
Homesteading... I didn't even know that was a word until a few years ago. Growing up, I knew there were people who lived in the country and people who lived in the city but it never occurred to be that my childhood was a culture. However, let me tell you, it was a beautiful one.

After finding this amazing homesteading community online, I realized why I was so drawn to it. It was because that's all I've ever known. Homesteading: growing your own food, living off the land, preserving food... these were things that felt natural to me and I was particularly drawn back to it after getting married and starting a family of my own.

I'm PROUD to be a fifth generation homesteader. Born and raised on over 100 acres of land, tucked on a mountain, in the Shenandoah Valley, I was taught by incredible women in my family and I'm so grateful for that. It's a way of life, one that I hope to pass on to my kids.

I started this small blog to connect with other homesteaders and to help beginners find their path.
